April O'Neil's Apartment from TMNT II: The Arcade Game (NES)
As a late member of Generation X, I have a lot of nostalgia for the late 80s early 90s, pretty much the peak of popularity for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.
This combined with my exposure to the Nintendo Entertainment System, I am particularly fond of TMNT II and III for the NES (the first TMNT game, not so much).
Here are screenshots from the end of stage 1: April O'Neil's Apartment:
Over the years, I purchased several minifigures from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, whether they came from LEGO (April and the Turtles themselves) or Mega Construx (the Foot soldiers, Shredder, Krang, Mousers, Bebop, Rocksteady, Casey Jones).
Please note that I am not a LEGO purist. I will use parts from other manufacturers (ex: Mega Construx) if the parts are a better fit for the MOC I am doing. I will also use "clone" baseplates from "clone" companies (ex: Block Tech (decent quality for the price); not to be confused with Brik Tek (not very good quality)) because of lower prices if the quality is maintained.
(most LEGO fans have now left the website)
I had all the parts I needed to build a "LEGO" version of that area of the game, including the underground transport module with its drilling bit for when the boss fight happens.
(I will use the term "LEGO" even if several of the bricks are not LEGO - Good thing I do not have a comments section)
Here are pictures of this mongrel/mutt of a MOC I built, under different lighting sources (Click on each picture for a full-size version):
Yes, I know; some of my minifigures have not been touched in a while, so they are a bit dusty. (scoff)amateur(scoff) :-)
